Utility Work and Asset Management Solution Architect/Leader

Skills Description

We are seeking individuals with the skills, knowledge and experience in Utility Industry Work and Asset Management, specifically implementation of the CGI ARM application suite.  Areas of desired experience include utilities industry (specifically power, Transmission and Distribution), business requirements mapping to technology, solution design/implementation, vendor oversight, and Agile project techniques.  These individuals shall have the following:

  • Extensive Work and Asset Management experience, including familiarity with some common software suites such as CGI ARM, IBM Maximo, or similar products
    • Customer application and intake
    • Design process – Engineering and Customer Management
    • Permit Management
    • Scheduling
    • Material Management process
    • As-Built collection and reconciliation
    • Financial closing
    • Reporting and performance measurement
  • Experienced liaison with the client and software vendor(s) to coordinate delivery of features, updates, and patches
  • Roadmap development – identifying client needs in supporting technologies and processes to help them achieve their mid- and long-term priorities in new construction work management
  • Ability to translate business requirements into work and asset management functionality
  • Experience with journey mapping and user experience to deliver a best-in-class customer experience when working with client to deliver on large construction investments
  • Experience with scheduling and long-range planning processes and practices to balance workload with resources and quality delivery
  • Experience with end-to-end new construction engineering work processes
  • Development of recommendations and customer facing deliverables
    • PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Word
  • Coordinate with client IT organization to develop realistic and achievable solutions that best meet the need of impacted business units.
  • Balance process and organizational change with technology to deliver a well-rounded customer and employee solution for the construction management process
  • Experience working in an agile environment/on agile teams, and embedding agile principles into the delivery of work products within the program

Preferred Skills

  • Technical Skills: Understanding of industry tools and applications in Work and Asset Management as well as Customer Solutions for the utilities industry
  • Communication Skills: Communicate with all level of stakeholders and with software vendor
  • Problem-Solving: Capable of managing multiple priorities and balancing conflicting points of view
  • Time Management: Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities and deadlines

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, industrial engineering, information management or similar preferred

  • Travel Requirements: 50%-80% travel, on-site at client
  • Compensation: Hourly rate + expenses (actual)
